About

Pure Magic

It started in 1981 with a girl who loved her horse.  In an attempt to save her favorite barrel horse from brittle breaking feet which is life threatening to a horse, she came up with a formulation that also caused human fingernails to grow and cuticles to magically recede. The initial invention was black in color and foul smelling but horses and horse people didn’t care as long as it worked to protect horses feet and restore them to optimum health. The inventor’s friend’s noticed her fingernails had gone from horrid to amazingly beautiful, natural and strong. They asked her what she was using and she said it must be her “stuff” she was using on Bobby, her prized barrel racing horse. Her friends wanted some and loved the results even though they didn’t like the black color and horrid smell as it wasn’t “cosmetic”. Demand justified refinement of the “stuff”. The initial refinement founded a multimillion dollar business that spanned over 20 years and established the inventor and founder as an expert in nails.

Today that inventor is behind the trademarked NanoBioActive technology, the most advanced evolution of the “stuff” that started it all back in 1981. Ultra refined in medical grade laboratory glass it is has been proven to increase the production of “ordered, structured cells” in 2020 studies conducted at the University of Toronto, culminating the trademarked, NanoBioActive.  NanoBioActive, is the only advanced, proven healthy cell growth accelerator available today. No other product can make that claim. That is a fact. Your nails will grow faster, be stronger and more flexible. Dry , cracked and bleeding cuticles will be a thing of the past.

If you want the real deal, and the best make sure it says NanoBioActive.

It works like Magic but it wasn't magic, it was a lot of hard work and never giving up no matter what. And there is so much "what" that mattered. But that is a subject for a another section,.... or blog, or something.

About our Founder Karen Orlowski

“Each of us has the power to make someone’s life better … we just need to act.”

Necessity is the mother of invention and in 1981 that is exactly what led Karen Orlowski to create a treatment to heal her beloved Quarter Horse’s brittle broken feet. There is a saying in horse circles “No hoof, no horse, no race, no money” and it is extremely true of horses. Without healthy feet horses’ health is in serious jeopardy and it is a life-threatening situation that needs immediate healing relief. A horse without strong hooves cannot survive and be healthy and freely moving. In turn, she used that initial formula in 1994 to found Ask Cosmetics Inc., and build it into an international, multi-million-dollar health and beauty empire with regular shows setting sales records on every major shopping channel in the world, HSN, QVC, The Canadian Shopping Channel.

With a sincere determination to help others, Karen used her success to springboard her philanthropic activities. In 2005, she utilized her personal funds to aid in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts – and got involved on the front lines of the rescue efforts herself as well.  She has been a generous contributor to Breast Cancer research, After Breast Cancer Care fundraising as well as the Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada.

As fate would have it, Karen was Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in March of 2015. This did not stop her charity work in any way. Instead, it has, in fact, prompted her current efforts to raise funds for MS research particularly Stem Cell research that is showing the most promise of a treatment and possibly a cure.  On November 20th 2015, Karen was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma, that doctors suspected had already spread to her liver. She was told to go home and put her affairs in order.   Part of her right kidney was removed in February 2016  to remove the primary Renal Cell Carcinoma Tumor that was found in November 2015. She retired from Ask Cosmetics in April of 2016 to concentrate on her health [1].

Karen’s belief in the power of the human spirit and the empowerment of women continues to guide her path today. She has spent her time well, as is so much like her, researching and advancing the sciences of healthy beauty that made her products so successful for over 25 years on the very competitive shopping channels. Today she brings you her latest advancements in the science of beauty and health with her new product line Pure Magic, and the Mani Magic Nail Care line.
